United States President, Donald Trump has ruled out plans to grant a presidential pardon to convicted music icon, Sean John Combs otherwise known as Puff Daddy or Diddy
In a report published on Thursday, the New York Times says Trump declared that he has no intention to grant Diddy’s request, which came through a letter.
Trump said that Diddy “asked me for a pardon,” and when probed for details of the request said, “Oh, would you like to see that letter?”
The president did not show the letter, but his words were confirmed by a spokesperson when PEOPLE reached out to the White House for comment.
The 56 years old Diddy is serving time after being convicted on two prostitution-related charges in July 2025. He was sentenced to 50 months in prison in October of the same year.
Newstracktoday reports that Sean John Combs, known professionally as Diddy, is an American rapper, record producer, record executive, and dancer.
Born in Harlem, Combs worked as a talent director at Uptown Records before founding his own record label, Bad Boy Records, in 1993.
