Uyi Osaretin @50 Medical Mission Gets Support From Bedrock Foundation

As part of the build-up to the 50th birthday celebration of renowned broadcast journalist and public relations expert, Moses Uyi Osaretin, the Bedrock Human Development Foundation has thrown its weight behind the humanitarian initiative tagged “50 Free Surgeries for 50 Indigent Persons.”

In a letter dated May 19, 2025, and personally signed by the Foundation’s Chairman and Founder, Engr. (Dr.) Osa Owieadolor, FNSE, Bedrock Foundation commended Uyi Osaretin for choosing a path of compassion and purposeful giving as he marks his golden jubilee.

Describing the outreach as “a powerful reflection of your character, compassion, and commitment to the well-being of the less privileged,” the Foundation expressed pride in being part of the noble cause. It also announced a donation of One Million Naira (₦1,000,000) to support the life-transforming initiative, which will provide free eye, intermediate, and major surgeries for underserved Nigerians.

Notably, two indigent women battling uterine fibroids are already in the process of undergoing surgery under the initiative—bringing early proof of impact and hope to those in urgent need.

The outreach, organized in partnership with Igbinedion University Teaching Hospital (IUTH), Okada, forms part of activities lined up to mark Osaretin’s 50th Birthday Lecture scheduled for August 29, 2025, with the theme: “The Journey of Life: The Essence of Giving Back.”

As the project gathers momentum, other well-meaning individuals, philanthropic bodies, and corporate organizations are warmly encouraged to lend their support to this worthy cause and join in restoring dignity and life to vulnerable members of society.

Uyi Osaretin currently serves as the Chief Administrative Officer and Public Relations Officer of IUTH, Okada, and is widely respected for his dedication to community service, integrity, and lifelong advocacy.
