The Assistant pastor of God’s Greater Grace General Assembly Intl Incorporated, Benin, Pastor Duke Iyamu, has called on believers who may have lost one thing or the other in the journey of life never to be dismayed, saying, in God’s plan, compensation is part of His agenda.
He said this when speaking on the topic: “A new song” during the church Sunday service in Benin.
Pastor Iyamu who took his bible reading from the book of Psalms 40: 3, Isaiah 43:18-19 and other portions of the bible, said that, it might be true that they may have had it very rough before now but their turning to God in total humility and in faith, can cause a change that will make them forget their past pains and sorrows because He has already given out His words concerning their situations.
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland”, Isaiah 43: 18-19.
The clergyman assured the congregants that because God is involved in their situations, singing a new song is ever guaranteed just as he said that, when they have been remembered by God, they should also allow it to trickle down to the less privileged in the society rather than amassing it to themselves alone.
He further admonished believers to go about with the confidence that this is their season to sing for joy and celebrate their victories over whatever may hitherto may have dampened their joy before now.
“He puts a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the LORD”, Psalms 40:3
