HON. ANDREW UZAMERE: ONE GOOD TERM DESERVES ANOTHER
Leadership is best measured not by promises made, but by results delivered. In Ovia North-East Constituency II, the record is clear: Hon. Andrew Edobor Uzamere has transformed representation into visible, measurable impact
As conversations toward 2027 begin to gather momentum, one message resonates strongly across the wards — one good term truly deserves another.
Since his inauguration into the Edo State House of Assembly in June 2023, Hon. Uzamere has demonstrated that effective representation is not a slogan but a responsibility. Across the seven wards — Okada West, Okada East, Uhen, Oghede, Oduna, Iguoshodin, and Utoka — his developmental footprint is unmistakable.

From the provision of boreholes and solar-powered water systems in underserved communities to the reconstruction and construction of classroom blocks equipped with offices, furniture, and sanitation facilities, his interventions have addressed fundamental needs. Clean water now flows in communities that once struggled daily.
Modern classrooms now stand where dilapidated structures once discouraged learning. Education has received particular attention under his leadership.
Through the WAEC/NECO Scholarship Program, hundreds of indigent students have been empowered to sit for national examinations without financial burden. Thousands of notebooks have been distributed to support academic excellence.
These are not abstract statistics — they are life-changing interventions shaping the next generation. Infrastructure development has also been a priority.
Markets have been constructed and rehabilitated, solar lighting projects installed, and critical community facilities strengthened.
Youth empowerment has moved beyond rhetoric, with several constituents nominated into appointive positions and permanent employment within the Edo State House of Assembly — creating pathways for economic stability and growth.
Beyond constituency projects, Hon. Uzamere’s legislative leadership as Chairman of the House Committee on Public Accounts reflects his commitment to transparency and accountability.
By strengthening oversight of public funds, he contributes to a governance culture where resources are directed toward meaningful development.
Importantly, his achievements align seamlessly with the developmental vision of His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Monday Okpebholo, Governor of Edo State.

The Governor’s SHINE Agenda — focused on Security, Health, Infrastructure, Agriculture, and Education — emphasizes practical, people-centered governance. Hon. Uzamere’s interventions in water supply, educational infrastructure, youth empowerment, and community development directly reinforce this blueprint.
Through executive-legislative synergy, Ovia North-East Constituency II has remained positioned within the mainstream of progress.
The Hon. Andrew Uzamere Unity Cup further exemplified his belief in unity and grassroots engagement, bringing together youths from all seven wards in a competition that promoted peace, talent development, and community cohesion. Leadership, after all, is not only about structures — it is about strengthening the social fabric.
As 2027 approaches, the question before the people is simple: should progress be interrupted, or should momentum be consolidated? The evidence speaks clearly. Projects are visible. Opportunities have expanded. Communities feel represented.Hon. Andrew Uzamere has shown resilience, competence, and commitment.
He has proven that effective representation is achievable when leadership is purposeful and accountable.

For Ovia North-East Constituency II, continuity is not merely political — it is developmental. And indeed, one good term deserves another.
