The assistant pastor of God’s Greater Grace General Assembly Intl Incorporated, Benin, Pastor Osazee Aibangbee, has said age and time are not barriers to what God can do in a man’s life.
He said this in his sermon titled: “It is not too late” taken from the book of Luke 1: 5-7, John 11: 21, Luke 1:26, John 2: 1-10 and other relevant sections of the scripture.
Pastor Aibangbee said, looking at the lives of Elizabeth, the wife of Zacharias and Hannah, wife of Elkanah, medically, they have passed the stage of child bearing but God divinely stepped in, and they became mothers at their various ripe ages.
Aibangbee who also alluded to the life of Lazarus who was dead for four days, said God showed up at the nick of time adding that, God Himself will show up whenever they need Him in their lives and in their various endeavours.
He told the congregation that even if He has not shown up at the moment, it doesn’t mean He won’t, stressing that the best could be saved for the last as it was in the case of the marriage in Cana of Galilee
“On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there, and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding.
“When the wine was gone, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no more wine.
“Woman,[a] why do you involve me?” Jesus replied. “My hour has not yet come.”
“His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”
“Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons.[b]
“Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water”; so they filled them to the brim.
“Then he told them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet.”
“They did so, and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine.
“He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside and said, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now”, John 2:1-10.
The clergyman further enjoined the christian faithful to hold unto God for it is never to late for them to achieve all that they have set their minds in as age does not matter if God chooses to remember someone.
