The general overseer and founder of God’s Greater Grace General Assembly Intl Incorporated, Benin, Rev Sunny Akenbor, has urged christian faithful to be courageous enough to dream and pursue it to fruition, saying that, they can only feature in the vision they have envisioned.
He gave the charge when speaking on the topic: “The power of vision and imagination”, during the Sunday church service in Benin City, the Edo State capital.
Rev. Akenbor, creating a better understanding of his preaching, likened it to an architect who out of his mental picture, draws a building plan that eventually becomes a magnificent edifice and a cynosure to behold.
Akenbor said Christians should be like the architect who is so positive in his thinking noting that, there is no way one can be negative in his thoughts and expects a positive result.
The clergyman, taking one of his bible references from the book of Habakkuk 2:1-3, said they should always note down what they want to do and hold onto it without minding the prevailing circumstances whether socio-economic or otherwise, stressing that, with firm determination, the end result will be glorious.
“I will stand at my watch and station myself on the ramparts; I will look to see what he will say to me, and what answer I am to give to this complaint.
“Then the LORD replied: “Write down the revelation (vision)and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it.
“For the revelation (vision) awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay”, Habakkuk 2:1-3.
The general overseer and founder of the church said the power of imagination is so powerful that even God Almighty Himself honours it, pointing out that, there are many instances to that effect.
He further enjoyed believers to always be positive with their words on their children and on their day-to-day activities as they have the propensities to shape their lives and the outcome of their endeavours.
