Hope and succour have come the way of Iyekeoretin Etinosa Raymond, popularly known as Sir Ray, a student of Ambrose Alli University, who urgently requires a kidney transplant as the gubernatorial candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Olumide Akpata tells him that he will not die but live through his kind gesture of N2.5 million to support his medical bills for his kidney transplant.

It was gathered that with only five days remaining for the life-saving procedure, that was when Akpata showed up.

The situation began when Olumide Akpata encountered a group of Ambrose Alli University students who were desperately seeking help for their colleague, Etinosa who was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease (Stage 5) and he needs a transplant.

Hearing their heartfelt plea and understanding the urgency of the situation, Akpata was moved to taking immediate action.

It was said without hesitation, Olumide Akpata generously donated N2.5 million to cover a substantial portion of the medical expenses required for Etinosa’s transplant.

It was also said this act of kindness underscores Akpata’s deep commitment to his community and his readiness to respond swiftly in times of need.

Etinosa, a graduate of the Department of Human Physiology at Ambrose Alli University in Ekpoma, Edo State, and a current Corp Member (NYSC), has been battling this severe health condition for some time now and he needed a financial help.

His situation has garnered attention from students and well-wishers who reached out to various prominent figures, hoping for support.

Despite numerous messages sent to distinguished politicians, Olumide Akpata was the only one who responded positively, offering substantial financial assistance to meeting the urgent medical needs of the young student.
