Governor Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto State has tasked the military on precision, improved information gathering and surveillance so as to avoid hitting the wrong targets in subsequent time.
Recall that Gidan Sama and Rumtuwa communities both in the Silame Local Government Area of Sokoto State, Northwestern part of Nigeria, have been erroneously bombarded by the military fighter jets while trying to neutralize the Lakurawa terrorist sect in those areas.
He commended the military and other security agencies for their commitment to making the state safe.
He also thanked President Bola Tinubu for the concern he had shown over the accidental bombing of the two villages in the state.
Gov. Aliyu commended him for his support to the state in the fight against banditry n the state.
The Governor also described the accidental bombing of innocent souls as something destined to happen and prayed to the Almighty Allah to prevent its recurrence.
