Edo Lawmaker, Iyamu Promises Better Life For Orhionmwon Women  ….As Group Lauds His Achievements

Member representing Orhionmwon South Constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly (EDHA), Hon. Bright Iyamu has promised to champion the course of the women in his constituency through policy formulations that will better their lots and by extension all Edo women.

He made the promise while playing host to the Orhionmwon Women Vanguard who paid him a solidarity visit in his office in Benin.

Hon. Iyamu said his commitment to improving the lives of women through various empowerment initiatives has been on before now and it will continue to grow stronger by the day without dwindling.

He assured them that he would continue to support them through his projects to ensure that no home in Orhionmwon is left behind.

The vibrant lawmaker maintained that, “empowering women has a direct impact on society and the economy and he remains dedicated and committed to making Orhionmwon South better and brighter for all”.

Addressing recent speculations about his political allegiance, Hon. Iyamu firmly stated “I remain a card-carrying member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP”.

He described the rumours of his defection as baseless and urged the public to ignore such misinformation, labeling those spreading it as mere detractors.

Iyamu further stressed that the legislators are working closely with His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, to advance the development of Edo State.

Also speaking, Hon. Monday Igbinigie reassured the women that, “Hon. Iyamu’s developmental projects are bringing positive transformation to Orhionmwon South, ensuring that the people benefit from sustainable growth and progress”.

In her remarks, the President of Orhionmwon Women Vanguard, Mrs. Elizabeth Ehimwenma expressed gratitude to Hon. Iyamu for his steadfast support for the association, acknowledging his dedication to the well-being of women in the constituency.

She expressed their appreciation for Hon. Iyamu’s contributions to the empowerment and development of women in the constituency.

Mrs. Ehimwenma also lauded his efforts in turning things around and righting the wrongs in the constituency through impactful programmes and projects.
